Industrial Aerobotics completes PayPal ASU Solar Project

Industrial Aerobotics just completed work in providing McCarthy Building Companies and APS construction monitoring progress updates 40MW solar site in Red Rock Arizona that will provide clean energy solely for use by Arizona State University (ASU) and PayPal. The site is now online and providing enough energy to power 10,000 homes.

Industrial Aerobotics visited the site during major phases of construction to capture, post produce and deliver broadcast quality content that was used by all four parties to communicate progress of the sites construction within their respective organisations and to the media. In addition to general progress updates, Industrial Aerobotics will be provided live “drone-casts” when required to provide real-time streaming updates from the site for board meetings and special communication events. Progress updates can be viewed on the Industrial Aerobotics website or YouTube channel for those interested in following the construction progress from ground breaking to completion.

We were honoured to be a part of this exciting project. Stay tuned to our Social Media sites for upcoming projects and announcements showcasing the use of UAS in the Energy and Construction sectors.

2016 was another successful year for Industrial Aerobotics. As one of the first 50 FAA Section 333 approvals; Industrial Aerobotics took an early lead in the energy sector vertical with the first approval specialising on Solar and Electric Utility asset inspections. With custom built Multirotors capable of 60-minute flights, including payload, they are leading the pack in this arena. By utilising the highest quality propulsion system coupled with a custom battery design they can stay in the air longer to allow more streamlined inspections and lower operating costs.

In 2016 Industrial Aerobotics continued its growth in the Solar and Utility Inspection market in addition to adding the construction vertical to its portfolio. This growth and expansion drove a revenue increase of 485% from 2015 numbers.
