The Challenge
We are a small team of highly skilled photogrammetry developers working on a scalable image processing platform that efficiently processes drone imagery to geo-reference, align, stitch, blend, ortho-rectify and reconstruct – creating tens of thousands of point clouds, 3D models and mosaics a month. That data is used to drive high ROI decisions in industry as diverse as construction, agriculture, mining, conservation, forestry, and infrastructure inspection. We are looking for generalist interns looking to work in our engineering to help expand the capabilities of our developer platform. http://developer.dronedeploy.com
The Role
You will be responsible for expanding and developer the DroneDeploy applications platform. https://www.dronedeploy.com/app-market.html This includes building new applications on the platform that control drones and analyze drone data. You will also be involved in adding functionality to the applications platform APIs, improving documentation, writing examples and creating a great developer experience.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong JavaScript skills with modern frameworks like Angular2 and React
- Strong Python skills and familiarity with libraries like SciPy and NumPy
- Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and Heroku
- Familiarity with version control software like Git
- Experience writing and maintaining great developer documentation.
- Experience with computer vision and deep learning libraries like Caffe, TensorFlow and Keras a plus
