Drone Fishing bait dropper for DJI drones

Drone Fishing bait dropper for DJI drones

A very clever way to trigger a release to drop bait. Just use the LED on-off function. I wonder if drone fishing will become a thing. It certainly changes the odds.

Retailing for $144.99 the unit is tidy and easy to install.

An Achilles heel that I see for this device is that it relies on DJI keeping the ability to switch the LEDs on and off in the app.

When the fish have a greater value perhaps the drone becomes a necessity rather than a nice to have.

If you have been in this game for a while you will know that the ScanEagle was designed to spot tuna. You can hear many thousands of traditionalists tutting.

Technologies nemesis is nefarious use. This is an off the shelf modification for dropping stuff into say a prison!

Drones dropping stuff into prisons is becoming a real problem. The UK experienced nine detected UAV smuggling attempts in the first six months of 2015. In early August a London woman died in a car being pursued by the Police. The driver had been flying goods into Wandsworth Prison.

There is no solution of course for uses other than the intended.
