AUV Flight Services – Tucson, AZ
General: Flight Crew team member for a commercial Multirotor Unmanned Aircraft System to support US based commercial customer contract requirements within the Continental United States. This is a full time salaried position with benefits and is considered an entry level position within the program with opportunities for future advancement.
Responsibilities: Multirotor Operator and Technician to support a commercial customer in multirotor UAS infrastructure inspection within the continental United States.
Duties: Customer training and flight support and flights of the UAS in authorized airspace for the purpose of inspections. Candidates will troubleshoot and maintain the UAS, and perform additional duties as assigned within the company and by the customer. Travel within the US is expected to be approximately 85%. No relocation required. Candidate must be a self-starter, and able to work as individuals as well as in a small team environment with the customer. A shared company truck will be provided for use during the work period and all travel expenses to and from the work locations are paid.
Job Requirements: Experience in the operation and maintenance of unmanned aircraft systems. Experience flying commercial, ‘pro-sumer’ or consumer grade multirotor aircraft. Candidate for this position must be willing to travel in the US for flight operations for extended periods of time. Deployments in the US will be approximately 6 weeks on (weekends generally off) followed by 1 week off (paid) and based on the needs of the customer. Selected candidate must pass the UAS training course and employment background check. Candidate must have a minimum FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (part 107) or ability to obtain one, be proficient in the English language and comfortable operating computers. Selected individuals must also be able to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of the UAS.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or ability to obtain certification
Pass an Employment Background Check
Must hold a Driver’s License in the United States
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience operating multirotor UAS aircraft
Must be a US Citizen
Experience operating DJI, 3DR and/or Sensefly UAS
