After seeing a potential GoPro Karma patent yesterday, an Indiegogo that has no shame when copying branding. That to me is a warning flag.
Another folder like Ryan Goldsteins, but they have been around forever so its not all that novel as an idea. The same factory in China must be creating the innards for all of these watch based follow me quads. I strongly suspect they are using http://www.ardupilot.org code without attribution.
The flash sale pre order price of $299 has attracted many. I hope the quad in the video below is an early one a its hover is somewhat erratic.

We started out with a goal of creating a quality aerial camera that would work for people’s everyday lives. While of course, we started with an idea in mind, we decided there was no better way to get the perfect camera than to listen to you, and your needs, when it comes to what you’re looking for in an aerial camera.
Crowdfunding has allowed us to further develop our product with your help, and your ideas in mind. Throughout this continued process, we’ll be keeping you updated and asking questions about how you’d like to see it grow in the future, including different add-ons, or different parts of the project. It’s an incredible feeling to be able to bring together a community of active UP&GO users, and one of the greatest rewards we can get from our campaign. It’s our promise and guarantees to ensure every cent that comes from our campaign will be used to make UP&GO the best it can possibly be. Most of the funds will be used for things like molds, tools, etc. In order to pass the savings onto you, we will be purchasing a CNC machine to cut our own carbon fiber frames, instead of outsourcing. Though all of the electronics included in the camera will be produced by a larger manufacturer to ensure quality, we will be setting up a small production facility to put together the frame and plastic body parts, offer thorough testing of the products and pack them with care before shipping them off to you. Our hope, as well, is to go past our campaign goal to be able to cover a few additional research and development costs, so we can continue to come up with fresh add-on ideas that will bring UP&GO to life even more. Every cent will be used to make sure this is the best aerial camera on the market, and the last one you’ll ever need.

Our team is comprised of seasoned entrepreneurs, product developers, robotic engineers, and supply chain experts with more than 58 years of entrepreneurial and manufacturing experience, so rest assured the product will exceed your expectations.
We have done a decent work, so the risks are minimal. We have finished R&D stage and have a working prototype. We already signed a large manufacturer (Flicker) who committed timely production setup and delivery.
What you are seeing is a prototype, so the final product may be slightly different from what you see but will be definitely supreme quality.
To assure best product quality we chose a large and established factory for UP&GO production. There are a lot of advantages working with a factory but due to low quantities we plan to order, the manufacturer can choose to produce other orders (larger quantities) and move UP&GO production run for one-two months. This can cause delays with product delivery to backers.
We warrant to the original purchaser of the UP&GO Aerial Camera (the “Product”) that at the time of shipment release this product is free from material defect in materials and workmanship. Should this Product fail during normal consumer usage and conditions due to defective material or workmanship within one year from the date of purchase, or such longer period as is required by applicable law (“Warranty Period”), such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced at our option, without charge for parts or labor directly related to the defect(s).
Refunds are available at any time before you receive the product. If you changed your mind about wanting it – no problem, just let us know. You can also return your Up&Go within 10 days, and you’ll receive a full refund, with no hassle. Once your return is received and inspected by us, your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or PayPal account. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to be posted to your account.
