New, silent, non-rotating alternative to laser LiDAR scanners

TeraRanger Tower is a new simultaneous multi-axis 2D scanner capable of replacing traditional laser lidar scanners. It is fully eye-safe, totally silent and has zero moving parts. Using the popular TeraRanger One sensor, TeraRanger Tower is ideal for Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) and collision avoidance on fast-moving ground and airborne robots. Calibrated distance data is streamed from a USB or UART port as an array of synchronised distances in millimetres while free ROS nodes enable you to build maps and navigate with ease.
