UAV Solutions, Inc. (UAVS) announced today that the company received a Section 333 Grant of Exemption and Certificate of Waiver and Authorization (COA) from the Federal Aviation Administration for its Talon 120LE fixed wing unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to conduct aerial data collection, adding to the Section 333s received in 2015 for the Phoenix 30 and Phoenix 60 multi rotor UAS.

The COA allows UAVS to operate the UAS at or below 200 feet above ground level (AGL) in the National Airspace System (NAS). All of the unmanned systems highlighted above are below the 55 pound threshold outlined in the COA.

UAVS has been designing, developing and manufacturing unmanned systems and sub-components since 2006. The company sells a line of multi rotor and fixed wing aircraft for military and commercial use.

Securing the authorization to fly in the NAS has been a goal for UAVS,” stated CEO Bill Davidson. “This privilege will allow us to demonstrate our systems for potential customers and provide a safe means to enhance features on our current systems.”
