Firefighters rescue toy drone from tree on Christmas
It was mealtime for firefighters about the time the drone took off on its maiden flight.
What happened next dried a child’s eyes, brought firefighters close to tears and befriended a family and the crew at Station 2.
Fire crew members left the dinner table for a call to Timiya Hutt’s house off Jersey Road in Salisbury. In a few minutes, they were up a tall ladder untangling the toy drone from branches on a towering tree around the corner from her house. The rescue mission on Christmas Day has Timiya wanting to train in drone operations to become an unmanned aircraft expert.
