Several messages about drone safety from the AMA

Seems I might have been a little hasty calling out the AMA safety video view count yesterday. Jeff Nance the AMAs Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy emailed and explained that the video had been leaked.

We were planning on rolling out the video series with one video a week. Here are all the videos in the series and sUAS News is the first to view them all. More videos are planned. The videos are targeted for the general public and those who have purchased a drone and do not know there are rules for flying safely in the national airspace. AMA members share their personal stories about model flying, their love of it and request people flying drones to follow the AMA National Model Aircraft Safety Code.

Thanks Jeff, the AMA, BMFA, SAMAA or whatever model aircraft code that might apply in your country are always a great start. All the serious players that I can think of were model aircraft pilots that spotted the potential early. Perhaps the most famous in this industry was the late Dr Paul MacCready who founded AeroVironment.
