The public can learn about unmanned aircraft missions in Alaska on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Officials and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Pan-Pacific Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Range Complex will attend the meeting. They will discuss the test site’s work and UAF’s role in a new FAA Center of Excellence. They’ll also review the FAA’s proposed rules for use of unmanned aircraft.
The event is hosted by the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration, part of the UAF Geophysical Institute.
