Drone Technology Company, Soaring Sky, Is First in Fort Myers To Receive FAA Exemption
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Southwest Florida based drone technology company, Soaring Sky, is excited to announce they received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorizing commercial operation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). After a long waiting process from the initial application submission the company was recently approved for 333 FAA exemption. This approval is a privilege and Soaring Sky is grateful to represent the opportunity and uphold this responsibility.
Soaring Sky, located in Fort Myers, Florida, began operations in December 2013, by founders Daniel and Sarah Barres, and is led by general manager Ryan Cowell. Prior to their FAA approval, Soaring Sky was researching, testing, studying, and preparing products for best practices. Now with the FAA exemption, Soaring Sky, LLC has been granted permission to operate drones to conduct aerial surveying, remote sensing, telecommunications, agriculture, aerial filmmaking and photography, energy systems inspections, asset management, construction site inspections and monitoring, wildlife and forestry assessing, education and research, pipeline inspection and patrolling operations.
