DENVER — As increasing numbers of farmers worldwide operationalize drone technology, Valmie Resources Inc. (OTCBB:VMRI), a high tech solutions company that brings to market state-of-the-art products for rapid commercialization, announces the development of an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform for agricultural applications. AIMDx is a learning service module for the AIMD (Autonomous Intelligence for Mobilized Devices) Platform designed to work with multiple devices and assist with image analysis to route discrepancies. This is a key focus of the recently announced collaboration with a Mexico-based crop monitoring solutions provider to build a highly developed system for the agriculture industry.

“Drones have the capability to identify targets in the field such as pests, diseases and irrigation issues. Based on Valmie’s science-based and calculated approach, farm operators will be able to make better decisions. In many cases, the drone is the first step in detecting the need for automated response,” said Gerald B. Hammack, President and CEO of Valmie. “We are excited to be part of the future of agriculture and saving growers money by finding better ways to help them monitor and care for their crops.”

UAV technology, already in use throughout many areas of the world, helps growers’ continued efforts to efficiently monitor their fields, mitigate crop stressors and manage crop development. Imaging from drones allows farmers to combine their crop data with advanced crop imaging, mapping and pinpointing the most advantageous times for treatments. This process, known as precision agriculture, can save the grower money from unnecessarily overusing resources while at the same time reducing the amount of runoff that could flow into nearby rivers and streams.

Valmie plans to supply unmanned aerial vehicles with fully integrated ground control software and cloud services to the Mexican company, which provides crop monitoring and data collection for farms located primarily in Central and South America.

Valmie’s SaaS (Software as a Service) AIMD Platform, with the capability for robust customization, will collect and send data from the unmanned vehicles’ independent controller units back to a cloud-based modular resource network for aggregation and analysis. The AIMD Platform will have the capability to determine intervention thresholds, quickly route pre-determined responses, communicate critical information to the operator, and in some cases deploy solutions in real time.
