French theme park will use 50 drones for a nighttime spectacle
France’s second-biggest theme park, Puy du Fou, is enlisting 50 drones to keep guests entertained by incorporating them into its Cinéscénie nighttime show.
The show is already an over-the-top spectacle, involving 1,200 actors and dancers on a 2,500 square-foot stage, wearing more than 24,000 costumes. Now beginning in April, Cinéscénie will also include 50 drones.
president Nicolas de Villiers said in an emailed statement.
The show’s engineers brainstormed other ideas before deciding on drones. They teamed up with ACT Lighting Design to develop the project.
