A Canning Vale couple have discovered a drone in their house after hearing a loud bang during the night.
The wife heard a crash at about 2 am but disregarded it.
Her partner, who was working night shift, arrived home later in the morning to discover a hole in the roof, exposed electrical wires and busted drone on the lounge floor.
Canning Vale police inspected the damage and issued a warning about the dangers of operating drones in the suburbs.
“Don’t fly drones over populated areas, if it can go through a tiled roof it could have seriously hurt someone.”
The drone has been seized and police are attempting to find its owner.
