Cranfield Aerospace Ltd (CAe) and AV8 UAS Solutions Ltd (Av8) are proud to announce their partnership, which will provide Unmanned Air System solutions to the world of aviation.
CAe has established a reputation for market leading innovation in Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) and Unmanned Air Systems (UAS), and are continuing to make major contributions in the area of UAS research, concept development, UAS flight services, trials and solution support.
CAe’s history and experience spans more than three decades and includes many highly innovative UAS development programmes. Its team of highly experienced engineers provides a technical capability that is unique in the UK.
AV8 UAS have extensive knowledge in the procurement, system design, management, implementation and operation of Unmanned Systems across the full spectrum of platform types. Pertinent to this partnership, all members have individually gained thousands of hours of flying Unmanned Air Systems and all are trained in Product & Imagery Analysis. The training provision is second to none with the introduction of the Global Unmanned Systems Training Academy (GUSTA) and the operator selection tool (Operator TRUST) ensures the right people, at the correct time, delivering the appropriate product.
Together CAe & Av8 are offering the CASSIUS Unmanned System as a complete Unmanned Airborne Solution. Cassius is a highly capable, fixed wing, tactical ISR UAS with excellent payload and range capabilities. The system includes a fully autonomous Flight Control System with intuitive touch screen control and offers an EO/IR sensor pack. The system is available as a product, ready for operations in theatre or as a complete service solution.
