Unmanned Vehicle University Receives Appoval from the Veterans Administration

University (UVU) received approval from the Veterans Administration to educate veterans on the use of UAVs as part of their Educational Benefits.

Unmanned Vehicle University (UVU) is the World’s first school to be licensed to grant Doctorate and Masters Degrees in Unmanned Systems Engineering. UVU also offers a Certificate in UAS Project Management.

The online University’s primary focus is on education and training for Unmanned Air, Ground, Sea and Space Systems. Most of the faculty at the school have PhDs in engineering and combined experience of over 500 years. “This is an excellent path for veterans to transition from the military to a carrer in commercial unmanned systems, says UVU President Dr Jerry LeMieux, who is a Retired Colonel in the Air Force, a Top Gun and former engineering professor at the Massachusets Institure of Technology. This simply menas that the government will pay tuition for elegible veterans.”

Unmanned Vehicle University’s UAV instructor pilots have combined experience of over 60,000 hours in Predator, Reaper, Global Hawk, Hermes, Heron, Aerostar and many small UAVs. UVU is located in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
