RPS morphs into Aviation Unmanned

Effective immediately, the innovative company formerly known as RPS (Remotely Piloted Solutions) will begin doing business as Aviation Unmanned.

Owned and operated by former military pilots, Aviation Unmanned is capable of providing unmanned aircraft services to clients worldwide.

Eric Fay, President and COO comments:

Changing our name to Aviation Unmanned more accurately reflects the nature of our business and the services we provide. Since this kind of technology is relatively new to the commercial market, and more commonly known as ‘drones’, we wanted to remove any mystery, or negative imagery connected with the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle). So we’re stating as simply as possible that we’re able to perform services which a pilot-operated aircraft can provide with much greater efficiency and accuracy.”

Aircraft which are remotely piloted have revolutionized the way businesses can now operate. From unmanned aircraft training to aircraft lease-back programs and everything in between, this Dallas-based firm provides the knowledge and expertise required to deliver a wide range of commercial services.

Since the very real probability of packages, pizzas and even dry cleaning being delivered to your home by a ‘flying robot’, ‘drone’ or autonomous ‘octocopter’ was recently broadcast on national TV, rumors have run rampant. From major appliances being dropped through rooftops, to spy-drones hovering outside motel windows, the viewing public has conceived of every possible scenario.

Unmanned aircraft however, “are becoming very common, very affordable, and very safe” according to Phil Jones, Training Consultant for A.U. and former RAF pilot. “It’s only human to be wary of the unknown and unfamiliar. UAV’s however, can provide any number of valuable and important services across a wide range of industries. Our mission is to do just that.”
