UND sponsoring focus group for UAS operations

The University of North Dakota is sponsoring a focus group to better understand community perceptions of Unmanned Aerial Systems.

The UAS Research Compliance committee set the standards for UAS operations. The committee tries to ensure that UAS’s are being used ethically. A study has been funded by the University to look at the north-east region of North Dakota and see what individual perceptions of UAS’s are.

Barry Milavetz, Associate Vice President For Research said, “There’s really not been any research done on acceptance of UAS in the country.”

The Focus group will take place tomorrow and again next Tuesday.
