The United States government’s use of unnamed drones has been the topic of heated debate in the nation’s capital in recent months, at one point inspiring Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) to stage a nearly 13-hour speech on the Senate floor on the issue.
But what exactly do we know about drone technology? Many already know that drones are being used in warfare overseas, but did you know that they are also being used to track endangered wildlife?
Obviously, the picture isn’t 100 percent “rosy” for drones, as noted by Camcode, a site that specializes in asset tracking applications — namely, the concern about civil liberties violations.
