Jim Edmondson appointed president of AUVSI UK

Rotron Power is proud to announce the appointment of MD Jim Edmondson as President of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) UK Board. AUVSI is the world’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems and robotics community. Serving more than 7,500 members from government organizations, industry and academia, AUVSI is committed to fostering, developing, and promoting unmanned systems and robotic technologies.

The AUVSI UK chapter provides support and advice to the UK and European unmanned vehicle community from the large defence primes to the small independent vendors and research institutes.

“I am very pleased and honoured to be appointed President of AUVSI UK,” comments Jim Edmondson. “I am very excited to work towards bringing key players within the unmanned systems market together; from the most cutting-edge companies, to key MOD operational personnel. I aim to build forward momentum and through forthcoming events help encourage members to make new connections, and to examine the likely implications and applications of unmanned technologies. On behalf of the membership, I would also like to thank Mr. Tim Young for his contribution as President over the past three years.”
