UAV Outback Challenge 2014 rules released.

The UAV Challenge Outback Rescue Technical Committee are pleased to announce the publication ofv1.0 of the Search and Rescue 2014 rules.

There are numerous changes in the rules from 2012 and all teams are advised to read the rules document very carefully. Major changes include, the removal of the requirement for the emergency bottle not to hit Outback Joe to win the $50,000, the removal of the simulated heat source from Outback Joe, requirement of a NMEA output from the ground station, the addition of vertical boundary requirements and many other changes. Teams are reminded that the rules maybe updated at any time along the competition and so are encouraged to follow the UAV Challenge Facebook page or Twitter feed to keep up-to-date with progress of the Challenge.

The first deadline is 3rd July 2013 at 5pm AEST (that is Australian Eastern Standard Time).
