Marinvent Corporation Joins Ohio/Indiana UAS Center & Test Complex User Advisory Panel

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Marinvent announces today that it has signed an agreement to join the Ohio/Indiana UAS Center & Test Complex (UASC&TC) User Advisory Panel along with its US-Joint Venture partner, Advanced Aerospace Solutions (AdvAero). The User Advisory Panel has been formed in support of the Ohio/Indiana team’s bid to be selected under the recently announced Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS Test Site Screening Information Request (SIR).

“Marinvent is proud to be a part of the Ohio/Indiana bid team together with our US-based Joint Venture (JV) partners Advanced Aerospace Solutions (AdvAero),” said Phil Cole, VP Business Development at Marinvent Corporation. “The UASC&TC User Advisory Panel is incredibly significant because it brings together a diverse set of stakeholders representing system developers/integrators and subsystem developers with operational interests in research, development, test and evaluation and training.”

The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) industry is projected to become a $94 billion industry by 2020. One of the key barriers to the emergence of the UAS industry is the ability to integrate UAS into the National Airspace System (NAS) to support military and commercial operations, training, and testing. The States of Ohio and Indiana provide a confluence of military and civil resources that enables the creation of a leadership role in future UAS development and production. The Ohio/Indiana UASC&TC will focus critical resources on UAS research, development, test, manufacturing and training to the benefit of Federal, State and commercial users.
