U.S. Air Force Awards AAI Test & Training $6.1 Million for New JSECST Units

HUNT VALLEY, Md., April 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AAI Test & Training, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. TXT -2.50%company, announced today that the company has received a $6.1 million award from Robins Air Force Base in Georgia for several new Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester (JSECST) systems. Part of a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, this latest delivery order will provide JSECST systems for flight line and laboratory-based testing by the U.S. Air Force, Army and international end users.

The JSECST is an end-to-end tester that quickly and precisely assesses the mission readiness of electronic warfare and avionics systems. To date, AAI Test & Training has delivered JSECST systems to customers in 20 countries on six continents. The system’s performance has been validated through operations for 13 different aircraft platforms, as well as numerous variants.
