MDA expands surveillance service for Australian Defence Force

MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed contract amendments related to its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveillance service for the Australian Defence Force.

The first amendment provides authorization to provide additional hours of UAV surveillance operations that will support deployed Australian Defence Forces inAfghanistan. The second amendment will see the company commence the flying training of Australian Forces personnel in Australia.

These combined amendments are valued in the multi-million dollar range.
