Speed hump for IAI Panther, overseas development funding sought.

IAI Panther

Flight Global reports that IAI are seeking partners to help develop the Tri Rotor/glider Panther. The airframe seems to be a mashup of several amateur designs.  IAI failed to extend a tender deadline imposed by the Israeli defence ministry for a new brigade level UAS. They are now looking for overseas investors to help fund development.

High speed forward flight and short landing capabilities are high on the shopping list for UAS purchasers.

We would put  money on the next generation looking more like this though.

Adding wings to multicopters is a current fad and whilst some look to have a short shelf life others are finding simple elegant solutions.
