Pressure of work was cited as the reason for not making it to the Outback Challenge. From their updated blog it looks like they have been busy. The blended wing airframe carries their bespoke autopilot and is conventionally powered. The designers challenge of mounting a camera on a wing in the most aerodynamic way rears its ugly head again. The team have place their camera in a dome underneath the airframe, that must knock out some of the efficiency of the blended wing. As flatter multi camera set-ups become more prevalent that will change. We will keep following the progress of this promising airframe closely.
