GoPro, Dell EMC Sign as Presenting Sponsors of the First Ever World Drone Championships October 17-22 in Hawaii

Drone Sports Association (DSA), the leading global drone racing and drone sports entertainment company, announced today that the first ever Drone World Championships “Drone Worlds” will be presented by GoPro (NASDAQ: GPRO) and {code} by Dell EMC. LowePro, Horizon Hobby, AirVuz and EY have also signed on as major partners for the marquee event October 17-22, at Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii.

With drone racing’s increase in popularity, the first ever GoPro World Drone Championships Presented in conjunction with {code} by Dell EMC—crowning the first ever World Champion—will be covered by ESPN and shown in a 60-minute telecast. 190 pilots from 37 countries have had to qualify at worldwide sanctioned events in order to earn a spot in Hawaii.

The crown jewel of drone racing will define the new world champions for first person view racing in individual, freestyle, team and wing categories.
