Iseries Indoor Drone Racing
The UK Drone Show and the Insomnia Gaming Festival have joined forces in a three year joint venture to develop the first Indoor RCsports drone racing series in Europe.
INTRODUCING: ISERIES INDOOR DRONE RACING
This event will be featuring at the 3 main Insomnia Festivals per year plus the UK Drone Show events – live audience over 175,000 per annum. Confirmed iSeries Date’s (2016) 25th-28th August, 3-4th December, 9-12th December, (2017) 13-17th April, 25-28th August, 2-3rd December. All to be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).
Additional options to extend the series to Insomnia Scotland and Insomnia Ireland 2017 as well as other standalone venues and events.
Insomnia Festivals attract some of the biggest YouTube and social media influencers. In 2015, the Insomnia Gaming Festivals generated 30M+ influencer views and8.1M social impressions.
At Insomnia58 one of the UK’s biggest YouTubers, TheSyndicateProject, who has over 10M subscribers, will be featuring at the event, doing behind-the-scenes videos and meeting and collaborating with pilots.
High production values mean races will be filmed “as live”, then edited into a professional package including race commentary, studio with pundits, interviews with pilots, action replays and more. All drones will carry GoPro cameras, plus fixed and manned cameras around the course.
STAGE PRESENCE
Race packages will be streamed onto the Live Stage (live audience of 5,000+ per day) and on live YouTube and Twitch streams. Pilots may be asked to participate in other PR and exhibition flying either on live stages, in expo halls or for broadcast.
WIN PRIZE MONEY!
The Inaugural event at Insomnia58 in August will have a prize pool of at least £5,000, with at least £2,500 going to the overall winner. Cash prizes for top 4 finishers, plus prizes for fastest laps and bonus knockout competition for non-finalists. The presentation of prizes for the iSeries event will be the live show closing event on Monday 29th August!
PILOT REGISTRATION
Race registration fee (£35) if you are selected for a pilot!! Come for the racing, stay for the evening entertainment and after-parties, the gaming, eSports, YouTube stars, race simulation, expo, robot combat, mini WHOOP quad comps and more! In addition one Indoor camping spot is available on site for pilots – fly hard, party harder!
