Airbus Group Joins ARPAS-UK
ARPAS-UK, the national trade association for commercial drone operators in the UK, has had over 30 new members join in the last month, including the multinational company Airbus Group.
We’re delighted to welcome all new members, and are very pleased that we’ll be working more closely with Airbus Group Innovations, the research branch of Airbus Group.
ARPAS-UK and Airbus Group Innovations have been working together since late 2014, first in developing the AIRSTART bid and latterly, since November 2015, with Airbus Group as AIRSTART Lead.
AIRSTART is a collaborative Research and Development project developing key technologies to support routine small UAV operations Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS).
ARPAS-UK and Airbus Group will be at the Farnborough Airshow in July this year, both on the ARPAS-UK stand, and the AIRSTART feature on Airbus Group’s own stand. Airbus Group is also keen to disseminate the outcomes of some of its work on secure optical communications, and is looking at new ways it can engage with SMEs. Airbus Group and ARPAS-UK look forward to a fruitful working relationship.
