UgCS broadens support for DJI drones

suas

With the recent release of UgCS 2.6, two new vehicles have been added to the lineup of supported

vehicles from DJI in UgCS – Phantom 3 and Inspire 1.

As some of you may have heard – DJI will discontinue their support for their desktop mission

planning software Ground Station as well as their 900 MHz radios due to Google Earth API

becoming obsolete in December 12, 2015.

We are pleased to inform that this does not affect UgCS, since UgCS does not rely on Google Earth API. This means that the users of DJI vehicles will still be able to create flight plans from the comfort of office using PC with the help of UgCS.

With UgCS you can create flight plans for DJI without connecting and switching on the drone. UgCS works on Mac OS X, Windows, Ubuntu and also features an Android app called UgCS for DJI, which allows desktop mission planning for Phantom 2 Vision+, Phantom 3 and Inspire 1.

Currently UgCS supports mission planning for the following DJI autopilots – A2, WookongM, NazaM V2 / Phantom 2, Phantom 2 Vision+, Phantom 3 and Inspire 1. From other manufacturers we support APM/Pixhawk, AR.Drone 2.0, Mikrokopter. Kestrel, Micropilot and Microdrones are supported exclusively by UgCS Pro.
