Axis Drones have trademarked their name whilst claiming the work of clever Chinese fellows as their own.
Like many others I already have one of these palmtop drones. Its amazing I really enjoy flying it and its a great first quadcopter. Its a Cheerson CX10. It points to the sub 1kg RPAS future better than most platforms out there. I’m willing to bet there are industry professionals also mucking about with them with half an eye on real-world uses.
The claims made by Axis Drones very much reflect the state of the current drone land grab.
Every other press release adds the word FIRST (insert technology that first flew more than 10 years ago), daily folks push out great back of a fag packet business plans with their heads in the clouds.
Some feet on the floor common sense needs to be applied. The word Exponential is being applied all over the place and its just not true.
Buyer beware has never been more appropriate.
Have a very clear idea of the end result your company requires before making the leap into the unmanned space.
Can the drone maker demonstrate that their platform really can do what they say.
How much more money and time is required to make a useful end product.
