Silicon Valley Robotics is looking at drone technology for their first 2015 investor forum. Managing Director, Andra Keay, said that, “The investor forums have evolved into a very productive dialogue between the investment and robotics communities, not just a demo day format. Every quarter, we invite some experts to share their insight and follow up with some short introductory pitches from robotics technology startups who are looking for seed or Series A funding.”
“On Feb 18 our focus is on drones with a fantastic panel of speakers – Jonathan Downey, Founder/CEO of Airware, Dave Merrill, VP of Product at 3D Robotics, Jeremy Conrad, Founder of Lemnos Labs, and Patrick Egan, Americas Desk of SUAS News.
“Previous speakers have included Sven Strohband, CTO of Khosla Ventures who was previously on the 2007 DARPA Grand Challenge winning team and Anders Bialek, who is leading iRobot’s new VC fund. We’re always looking to shine a light on the latest trends in robotics, and this definitely leads to increased investment in the field.”
