Senior Chief System Architect

The Chief System Architect shapes Squadrone System’s vision and strategy while developing highly advanced/leading-edge technology solutions and concepts based on market needs.

He plays a key technical leadership role in product and platform system architecture, prototype and implementation guidance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical strategic planning and related technical management based on advance technologies research, industry benchmark and gap analysis.
  • Lead the creation of Squadrone System’s corporate level long-term architectural plans for its products and systems, in line with market needs and the company’s long-term strategy.
  • Lead the specific system architecture design and Proof of Concept
  • Drive the prototype implementation, collaborate with test team on prototype verification and also deploy product solutions.
  • Provides expertise on the availability and viability of third party components and services.
  • Ensures third party components comply with established architecture
  • Write functional and design specifications for products and technologies.
  • Designs quality control and test procedures to ensure the deliverables meet established design and performance goals.
  • Ensures design proposals meet the market needs. Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates alternative design solutions.
  • Approves integrated systems design proposals for technical content.
  • Establishes cost and time estimates for implementation.
  • Monitors the implementation for technical correctness to ensure the market needs are met.
  • Creates recommendations and implements new methods, techniques, and/or procedures.
  • Maintain project documentation relating to the system architecture
  • Validate infrastructure processes to ensure that the technical baseline changes are correctly implemented, consistent across subsystems, and comply with the guidelines

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline and 10 years relevant experience to include:
    • Systems Architecture Design
    • Application Development
    • Implementation
    • Services Oriented Architecture
  • Must have experience with developing software and controls for robotics and automation
  • Past experience and understanding of UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) components and architectures
    • UAV hardware design
    • Flight controller embedded software development and architecture
    • Ground station / controller
    • MAVLINK protocol
    • RF knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • SCRUM Master / Agile certification
  • C++ and Python software development, ROS (Robot Operating System), OpenCV, PCL (Point Cloud Library), SolidWorks, AutoCAD electrical, Labview, Matlab, Linux
  • Industrial robotics, mobile robotics, 2D/3D computer vision, path planning for robotics, machine learning, optimization, perception/sensing for robot guidance, localization.

Languages

Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a plus
