North Korean drone, Chinese Sky-09

Its no surprise that the UAS found in South Korea is of Chinese origin. The charmingly named Taiyuan Navigation Friend Aviation Technology is in Asian terms just up the road from Pyongyang being 1200kms away in the capital of Shanxi province, Taiyuan.

Reports from South Korea suggested that the platform had a 486 based flight controller and other sources suggest it might of been of Russian origin. Learning about the flight controller would perhaps be more interesting than the airframe. It does look rather good though.

If you would like to pick up your own Sky-09 why not pop off to

A change of paint scheme, but very certainly the same airframe or relative of the Sky-09 these are images of the two found in N Korea.
