Drone TV – “Bastrop Burn” is released!

WUI

Drone TV travels to Bastrop, Texas to film a prescribed burn which was conducted by NIST, U.S. Forest Service, Texas A & M University. NIST launches and recovers a MLB Company Super Bat which monitors the progression of the fire from the air. This is a unique opportunity to see how a small UAS is used seamlessly in conjunction with ground research teams to collect data for the development of the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) fire exposure scale.
