As Seen On Drone TV

sUAS News launches a new information vehicle. The concept (and treatment), for Drone TV was originally set around a series of Public Service Announcements (PSA) that were loosely based on the TED talk My Drone. Beyond the original good PR, we hope to use it to help show the general public in what real world ways this technology can benefit them. What better way to kick it off then with MahaPix Studio, Civilian Drone Movie? Yes, it’s a little early, and we don’t have all of the details nailed down, but that represents an opportunity for you to be a participant.

Participant?! Always thought that one day you’d go Hollywood. Well, here’s your chance to be creative and show the world your talent! Drone TV needs some video for the show opening (title sequence) and closing credits. It can be video, animation, puppets or even charades… with or without music. If you are selected and Drone TV turns out to be as popular as the podcast, hundreds of thousands of people will see your creative genius! The finalists will be chosen with the help of the sUAS News Google + community.

Only safe operations and G rated material will be green-lit! (Might want to give the RCAPA Proposed Guidelines a reread.) Anything unsafe and insane will automatically get cut out of the running.

Wait a minute… aren’t commercial operations verboten? Yes, but that’s where this call gets real Hollywood… it’s all on the come, and we aren’t paying anything, but a credit for the video.  Besides the full Hollywood immersion it’s FAA compliant as your not getting paid so no magical commercial UAS BS. On the upside, it’s not a cable production, so you don’t have to pay us to take it. ;-)
