“Cornish Superdrone ” Takes Flight after Winning European Regional Development Funding.

Newquay Cornwall – Local photographer Layton Bennett is thrilled to announce his successful bid for funding from the European Regional Development Fund through the BIG programme (Business Investment For Growth Programme) a £3.6 million investment project delivered by Cornwall Development Company.
Layton Bennett Photography is using the funding to quite literally ,“launch” a new aerial imaging service by investing in the very latest drone technology. The drone’s state of the art technology and capabilities provide an extremely stable aerial platform ideal for carrying, still, video and thermal imaging cameras.
Layton Bennett says, “Funding through the Cornwall Development Company has enabled me to purchase a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) and provide a cost effect solution for aerial imaging.
With Superdrone we expect to see benefits for many business sectors including environmental surveys, mapping, high building inspection, video production, events, still photos, and public safety. This is an emerging industry and I will be looking to expand our team very soon”.
Technology
Superdrone incorporates some of the latest technology including, GPS assisted flight, servo stabilised camera mount, waypoint flight capability, live video link from/to the ground.
Safety
As with any object that fly’s, safety is of paramount importance and Superdrone will hold a BNUCS (Basic National UAS Certificate) and be governed by CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) rules and regulations. Additionally, Superdrone incorporates many built in failsafe systems, including selflanding and come to home functions.
