Chinese Media to Deploy Drones for Aerial Photos
A job notice released by the Hubei Daily Media Group on Tuesday said an operator will be recruited for the purpose of taking aerial photos via drones, People’s Daily newspaper reports.
The provincial media in central China’s Hubei province also plans to buy two drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS), according to Chen Yong, head of the Aerial Photography Center with the Hubei Daily Media Group.
“The project not only helps cameraman to take photos or videos from a unique perspective in high-definition, but also removes high-costs and eliminates the safety concerns involved with rented civil helicopters during previous aerial reports”, Chen noted.
As early as September of last year, a local media outlet in Chongqing Municipality successfully conducted a large-scale aerial photography exercise using drones and other aircrafts for the first time.
