Conquiro announces its new home

UAS Operations Company, Conquiro have officially opened their new training school and operational headquarters near the world heritage site of Stonehenge.

Conquiro, which was formed early 2012, provides UAS services to companies across a variety of sectors including shipping, oil and gas, and the security industry. Conquiro supplies not only the equipment, but also the highly skilled UAS pilots, operational support and undertakes feasibility reports, case studies and also aviation authority mediation to provide a bespoke package to suit client needs.

Conquiro’s Managing Director, Glyn Rosser comments that, “We are thrilled to have moved into our site. The extra space will allow us to better accommodate our students on the residential UAS pilot’s course and will afford us the ideal opportunity to carry out all of our training and allow the business to grow.”

The company’s training school located at The UK Centre for Homeland Security in Chilmark, Wiltshire, ensures that all of its operators are put through their paces, undergoing a rigorous ground and air flight school which far exceeds the current governing body requirements for UAS operators. In addition, all operators receive imagery analysis training, making them some of the most highly qualified and experienced operators in the industry. To maintain its high standards, Conquiro insists its pilot must be ex-military and subject matter experts in UAVs with operational experience as well as being trained security professionals holding Hostile Close Protection, Security Management, Maritime Security qualifications or combinations of these.

Mr Rosser adds that, “It is essential that our pilots and operators are well qualified and experienced in all aspects of security so they can fit seamlessly into existing security teams, adding value in potentially hostile environments.”

Once trained and deployed, the Operational Headquarters, co-located at the site manages the operations, ensuring the teams receive adequate support and thus relieving this burden from the client.

Mr Rodney Conway, Head of operations, comments that, “It is an exciting time to be in this industry. UAVs have proven their worth time and again in the military and we are looking forward to being a company pivotal in highlighting these incredible assets to the corporate world.”
