Elbit Systems of America to Showcase Solutions for “America’s Army” at AUSA 2012

Elbit Systems of America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. will present an array of cutting edge solutions designed to enhance the capabilities of the United States Armed Forces at the upcoming Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition (AUSA), (booth #839, Hall A) set to take place in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center,Washington DC from October 22-24, 2012.

With demonstrations, video presentations, and product displays, Elbit Systems of America will depict the successful integration of systems available to empower the warfighter. Dedicated to supporting those who contribute daily to the safety and security of our nation, Elbit Systems of America’s innovative and affordable solutions allow units to operate successfully in complex conflicts and urban environments.

Elbit Systems of America plays a vital role in supporting America’s Army with discriminating mission solutions. Our innovative products and systems can be found on many of the U.S. Army’s major platforms and weapon systems to include the Apache Attack Helicopter where we provide all helmet mount displays, the advanced mission processor for the Block 3 Apache, the Bradley A3 Fighting Vehicles where we provide the core computer electronic suites, and the Stryker Mortar Carrier where we provide the highly accurate recoiled mortar system. Additionally, we provide critical life support and power systems for the MRAP vehicle and the highly accurate semi-active laser seekers for the Viper Strike and Griffin weapons.

Avionics

Supporting our Army aviators, Elbit Systems of America will present the family of AMLCD displays and the Large Area Display (LAD). Revolutionizing the functionality of cockpits, the LAD is a panoramic high-definition display measuring up to 22″. The LAD provides integrated high performance flight and mission graphics onto a wider, slimmer, single screen. AUSA visitors to theElbit Systems of America booth may also examine the new Apache Aviator Integrated Helmet (AAIH) and participate in a cockpit demonstration which includes a Helmet Display and Tracker System with Degraded Visual Environment symbology. Elbit System of America provides enhanced situational awareness for the Army Aviation fleet with increased reliability and maintainability.

C4I Solutions

C4I solutions provide high performance computing and communications interoperability solutions and capabilities including the Dual Power AmplifierTacter 31MTacter 31DTC100L,TC150M,

TC100D (Power Amplifiers) and the Common Intelligent Display (CID). With proven performance, the CID ensures commonality across all combat vehicles including tanks, fighting vehicles, and the Howitzer.

Ground Combat

Elbit Systems of America’s ground combat presentations highlight solutions for warfighters and ground combat vehicles. The Handheld Laser Marker (HLM) and Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Laser Target Designator (LTD) provide laser marking and designation for foot mobile soldiers while the LongView CR provides extended, long range reconnaissance surveillance and target acquisition. Reducing the soldier’s load and providing automated fire control, FireCon is a U.S. Army program of record for the Stryker and light infantry forces. Also on display is the Commander Open Architecture Panoramic Sight (COAPS) which offers a flexible commander’s sight system for existing vehicles like the Bradley and future vehicles.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems

Elbit Systems of America’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) division will focus on the Skylark I-LE Block II. Skylark® I LE Block II is based on the operationally-proven Skylark® I UAS, currently used by many coalition partners. The Skylark® I- LE Block II version increases the system’s operational range to 15 km and the endurance to approximately 3 hours. The system also features a unique gyroscopic-stabilized, gimbaled payload optimally integrated with algorithms derived from the larger Hermes® 450 UAS to enable auto-tracking of dynamic targets. A hand-launched unit, the Skylark® I-LE UAS combines the characteristics normally reserved for larger UAS within the form-factor of a man-portable system.
