Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety

A glimmer of hope for UA start ups in the USA. The DHS wants companies to start talking to them about RAPS. It also signals the birth of a new acronym. Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety. We are not sure the FAA received this memo though. Check the Miss-O-Matic for just how much.

This is a RFI notice issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it does not commit the Government to solicit or award an order now or in the future. The purpose of this notice is to solicit participation in the Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety (RAPS) project from the small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS) for transition to its customers. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and will be provided at no cost to the Government.

Please submit response to both emails, amalia.rodezno@hq.dhs.govand at RAPS_RFI@hq.dhs.gov.
