ADTI and Halberd Enter UAVs and Drones – Based Sales Contracts

Advanced Defense Technologies (ADTI) recently declared that its joint venture partner Halberd, provider of short- as well as long-range unmanned aircraft has partnered with the Company to achieve sales contracts for Sense and Avoid- enabled drones and UAVs.

ADTI and Halberd foresee the dependence of large-scale proliferation of drones and UAV implementation on adequate sense, avoidance, and detect capabilities. These capabilities will protect UAVs from colliding with other aircrafts or structures. Along with Halberd and its partners, ADTI progresses its operation with excellent intelligence; surveillance, reconnaissance, and communication systems, through which the company will integrate sense and avoid capabilities within UAVs, thereby promoting UAV as well as drone technology to a higher commercially potential level.

According to the President and CEO of Advanced Defense Technologies, R.S. Tahim, government organizations that need surveillance systems will propel the commercial and civil UAV and drone market forward. These UAVs resemble military UAVs including border patrol, coast guard, and various other national security organizations. ADTI’s sense and avoid enabled systems will be the major component to exceed the existing airspace restrictions that hamper commercial growth. By overcoming the export rules, public safety obstacles, and FAA restrictions, there will be potential sales growth of safe reliable UAV and drones.

The innovative systems and technologies developed at ADTI benefits homeland security, military, and defense industry. The system design technology of ADTI has been established under several SBIR Programs integrated to Government Agencies and Phillips Labs.
