CLARKSBURG –

An unidentified object traveled through several counties in our area, and if you did a double take you weren’t alone.

An unmanned military aerial drone passed through North Central West Virginia Sunday morning.

The cargo left California two weeks ago and is heading to Washington, D.C.

The West Virginia State Police began escorting the drone in Parkersburg.

It traveled all of Route 50 then connected to I-79 and I-68 before being turned over to the Maryland State Police.

Motorists did face some minor delays in traffic.
