Dance of the Quadrocopters – Armageddon

The motion capture rig at Zurich getting another workout.  We love the one at the front bouncing along in time at the start and the jet engine behind the net at the back!

Lets hope these researchers are not actually enjoying their studies too much and that they occasionally let their machines out into the sun to fly.

It might seem frivolous but the swarming algorithms and avoidance routines that the team are working on will form the core of next generation devices that have the processing grunt and 3D detection sensors to do most of the calculations on board.

The days of sending a small system off to take images of a leaking roof all on its own are not far off.
