Sentient signs Reseller Agreement with Overwatch
Overwatch to market, sell and support Sentient’s Automated Target Detection Solutions
Melbourne, Australia – 2 August 2011 – Sentient announced today that the company has reached a reseller agreement with Overwatch, a strategic business of Textron Systems Advanced Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company. Under terms of the agreement Overwatch will market, sell and support Sentient’s automated target detection solutions –KestrelLandand Kestrel Maritime – toUnited Statesand international defense and intelligence organisations.
Overwatch delivers multi-source and geospatial intelligence solutions that enable analysts around the world to integrate and leverage various intelligence sources to improve situational understanding and deliver actionable intelligence in support of counter-terrorism, irregular warfare and civil applications.
Kestrel will expand Overwatch’s overall solution portfolio. Processing aerial surveillance imagery from unmanned and manned aircrafts’ electro-optical (EO) / infrared (IR) full motion video (FMV) sensors, the software provides image analysts with enhanced situational awareness. Kestrel detects movement on the ground as well as small objects on the surface of the sea, supporting analysts in their intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) tasks.
