Aeronautics Dominator passes MTCR

Aeronautics Dominator

The unmanned aircraft (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle – UAV) “Dominator 2” in the XP version is ready to be put on the market after that the manufacturer, the Israeli Aeronautics Defense Systems, has aligned the aircraft in accordance with the limitations of the MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime, an informal and voluntary partnership between 34 countries to prevent the proliferation of missiles and technology of UAVs capable of carrying 500 kg of payload to 300 km).

Avi Leumi, chairman of the Aeronautics Defense Systems, stated that the Dominator is in direct competition with the General Atomics Predator and the Heron of the Israel Aerospace Industries. Have not yet been revealed changes from the previous model, of which aeronautics is based on that of the Diamond DA-42, that with a maximum takeoff weight of 2000 kg and a maximum speed of 350 km/h, has an autonomy of 28 hours and can carry a load of 300 kg at an altitude of 9150 m.
