Indian Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has had a demonstration from Honeywell of the US for their unmanned micro air vehicle, T-Hawk, for real time situational awareness, in May this year in the jungles of Chhattisgarh. The seven kg heavy micro vehicle, on display in Indesec-2010, specializes in pyramidical surveillance, and has an altitude range of 10,000 feet, and an extended range of 5-10 kilometers with ground contact. The Indian Navy too has shown interest in the Rs two crore a piece vehicle, while Honeywell has responded to the Request For Information (RFI) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the same.

Located in Central India, Chhattisgarh has been carved out of Madhya Pradesh to become the 26th state of the Indian Union. It is endowed with huge mineral deposits and forest resources. Chattisgarh also has the largest concentration of Schedule Tribes in the country. Its cities, especially Raipur is full of migrants from other parts of the country.
