Indian firm clogs the web with non sense!

There are so many versions of this press release floating around that its quite amazing. Whoever does their PR is doing a great job but the fact is they have not produced the smallest UAS by a long shot!

An Indian private firm has developed the smallest and lightest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the world. The UAV named, Carbon can help trace terrorists and can be used in defence equipments.

Carbon which weighs only 1.5 kg can take off and land vertically. It is capable of carrying intelligence gathering equipment and can shoot good aerial photographs. The UAV can be programmed to complete and task and then land at the same location.

It is made of carbon fiber composites and is powered by Li-Pc batteries. It has a range of one km. Carbon won the Best Autonomous Hovering Vehicle among 16 other entries in the US-Asian Demonstration and Assessment of Micro Aerial and Unmanned Ground Vehicle Technology.
